AGM 2020 – Sunday, Sept. 27

Sunday, September 27 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Estabrooks Community Hall, Lewis Lake

The community is invited to join members, volunteers and supporters for the Five Bridges Wilderness Heritage Trust’s 19th Annual General Meeting.

This event was originally planned for March, but rescheduled due to the pandemic.

These meetings are always a great time to connect with other environmental groups in the area and hear news and project updates for the year ahead.

Allison Thorne is a Conservation Project Coordinator with the Nova Scotia Nature Trust.

Following the business items of the meeting, guest speaker Allison Thorne will talk about the latest news and campaigns for saving urban wild lands, including the Blue Mountain Birch Cove area.

Free to all. Annual Trust Memberships will be sold at the event. Cash only.

$10 per person or $15 for a family.

AGM events always attract members and neighbours keen to learn more about what is happening on the Chebucto Peninsula’s wilderness areas.

Everyone is welcome.

Ray Plourde, (Left) Wilderness Coordinator, Ecology Action Centre, provided the guest speaker lecture at the AGM in 2019. His topic was the “State of Nova Scotia’s Forests” and he described how clear cutting was damaging our forests biodiversity and future. Harry Ward (Right) thanked Ray with promo item gifts from the Trust.
