The province of Nova Scotia has announced the easing of some public health restrictions. Effective immediately, citizens can enjoy outdoors activities, like sport fishing or hiking on trails, all while still adhering to social distancing rules and staying within their own household groups so as not to spread the COVID-19 virus.
Provincial Public Health Restrictions Eased – Beaches remain closed until further notice. The further lifting of restrictions will depend on how well the province does with new cases of the virus erupting in the weeks ahead.
Under provincial authority, individuals who are found in breach of the restriction orders are subject to fines issued by provincial and local police.
