There were some bumpy patches and tight corners but project manager Mike Marriott and his volunteer team safely delivered the new Nine Mile River bridge pieces across 22-km of rough terrain on the Old St. Margaret’s Bay Road last week. Taking advantage of the good weather and dry conditions, the move went smoothly and the team will now focus on the next step of bridge assembly in the coming weeks.
This exciting trail improvement replaces an old wooden structure across the waterway, as pictured below. It will make it safer for all trail users for years to come.
